Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: packagekit
packagekit APT backend or at least the one used in ubuntu doesn't know
or doesn't know how to display which packages does a package depend on.
for instance:
pkcon get-depends gnome-system-monitor
=> nothing
pkcon get-depends kpackagekit
=> nothing
Also in kpackagekit the information doesn't appear.
It appears correctly in synaptic.
