Yes, I have been using the proprietary nvidia drivers up until recently. I just haven't had a chance to load them on since I reinstalled. The most recent installation was with a daily image created after Alpha 6 (Alpha 6 wouldn't work on my system at all).
The video driver doesn't seem to have an affect. I've tried Vesa too. I've even used Seatools to scan my hard drive and the Ubuntu Memtest86 to check my memory to make sure it's not just my machine. I also tried Live CD's after that, and I have the same problem with those. I figure if a Live CD fails, it must be something in the kernel since the Live CD's don't use proprietary drivers as far as I know. -- Karmic Doesn't Boot Most of the Time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/434395 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
