If I'm not mistaken, the LTS included a pre-1.0 version of Banshee. While it was inferior in many, many ways, it's true that it included radio stations by default. This bug exists upstream (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=548197), but I'm not sure much is currently being done to fix this.
