Is this still an issue for you?  Examining your DpkgTerminalLog.gz file
it unfortunately looks like the interesting error messages weren't
captured:

If the issue still remains, can you try reinstalling and then attach the
debug files outlined at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUpdateManager
(main.log, apt.log, term.log).  Thanks.
