While the project page (http://packages.ubuntu.com/karmic/linux- image-2.6.31-11-virtual) lists the correct 2.6.31-11 files, when downloading the 2.6.31-11 kernel, apt-get source will instead download the files for a 2.6.28-15 kernel, which is not the version apt was instructed to download. $ LANG=C apt-get source linux-image-2.6.31-11-virtual Reading package lists...
