Public bug reported:

I didn't let grub update when I updated the linux-image-2.6.28-15.

I'm now stuck in a situation where every update through apt-get or
Synaptic results in an error like the following...

E: linux-image-2.6.28-15-generic: subprocess post-installation script returned
error exit status 1
E: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.28-15-generic: dependency problems - leaving
unconfigured
E: linux-image-generic: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
E: linux-restricted-modules-generic: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
E: linux-generic: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

Most likely a 'bad user' fault rather than a software bug but Ubuntu is
now so 'helpful' (i.e.: keeps pestering me...) at trying to help me file
bugs that I thought I'd give it a go. I'm hoping that what it is
automatically attaching is sufficient for analysis but please shout if I
need to do some further digging.
