Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gkdial
GkDial works well except the status never switches to connected. The
ppp connection is up and networking is active, but GkDial still show
"Dialing..." and Input/Output bytes shows 0.
The device used is /dev/modem and I see the archive /var/lock/LCK..modem
after pppd connects.
I tried as normal user whith group dialout and as root. Same results.
I'm using the package from dapper (whitout updates or backports):
