Documentation updated at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/rsync
I don't really recommend the daemon means at all to non-experienced users, it's cumbersome and time consuming. Mounting a local share to do a local backup or doing it over ssh (easiest of all) are both far preferred. Accordingly, I've highlighted both these means and discouraged the later. I'd personally delete all that daemon stuff but always best to leave alternatives. I've cleared it up I believe, if more clarification needed I'll try and be more verbose. -- rsync document is vague and frustrating https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/388277 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
