Problem was fixed for a few months while I used the Catalyst closed-
source drivers, but now I have switched to the open-source radeon driver
and the bug is back.
** Description changed:
- Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch) Alpha 6
+ Description: Ubuntu jaunty 64 bit
Release: 9.04
+
+ EDIT: Seems the problem only occurs when the open source radeon drivers
+ are used. I had been using the Catalyst 9.4 drivers for the last few
+ months with no issues, but now I have switched to the open source
+ drivers to fix some other issues I had.
+
+ Upon suspend, the sleep light will "snooze" and the computer will
+ properly suspend, but when resume is attempted, the screen will not turn
+ on again and there is no HDD access. I think it's definitely a problem
+ with the graphics card drivers, as I think it might be resuming but just
+ not turning on the screen.
+
+ ---------------------
The computer ran out of battery and went into suspend mode. Plugged into
AC and then tried to resume and the computer started up and accessed the
drives but the monitor remained blank.
ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from
resuming properly.
