Yes, amazing. I myself have the same experience, on the netbook
everything was and is fine, all the time and any time (knock on wood).
Same situation, same repository, on my desktop was and is a pile of
c***. I was thinking it might have to make with the partitioning: on
the netbook it is just '/' and swap; on the desktop I have some 5
partitions.
But how could this affect the 'mount -a'? Or fsck?
