Another work-around for people on Jaunty:
1 Exit Rhythmbox (don't minimise!)
2 Open "~/.local/share/rhythmbox/playlists.xml" and add
<playlist name="Some playlist name" type="automatic" sort-key="LastPlayed"
sort-direction="1">
<conjunction>
<equals prop="type">song</equals>
<subquery>
<conjunction>
<current-time-within prop="last-played">604800</current-time-within>
</conjunction>
</subquery>
</conjunction>
</playlist>
before the final tag ("</rhythmdb-playlists>").
