Harry, again please read my bug report more carefully. In my initial report, I mentioned that I am running Kubuntu Karmic 64-bit. That means that I do not have GDM, I have KDM.
Secondly, what happens is exactly as I've said, there is no usplash, xsplash, logo, animation, picture, graphic, or anything at any point between the starting of the computer to KDM.
