Binary package hint: openoffice.org
Under some circumstances, kerning is bad (or just inexistent) in oocalc.
It happens when a cell is set to "automatically adjust" (word wrap), or
while you're editing it (F2 in a cell). Kerning works properly
otherwise. I'll see if I can attach an image for an example.
This might be related to bug #280019, and if that's so, then I'm
confirming (as asked in that bug) that it does happens with the PPA
packages of OpenOffice. In particular, I'm using version
1:3.1.0-5ubuntu1~hardy1 I've got from that repository.
