The original problem reported here was bug 431055 which has been fixed
for 10 days now.
The non-working eject button is covered in bug 397734.
nautilus usually displays the file contents, so you need to close the
windows, or use the eject symbol in nautilus, or use "eject -m
/dev/dvd".
