I have identical problems with oocalc,
even with simple documents it freezes for 5.. 10 SECONDS!!! (on amd64 dual core
6 GB ram, no other load)
It seems to happen especially where I enter long text into some cells,
of which some are with word-wrapping.
Drawing of oocalc window (by switching from and back to it, or by
dragging some other window in front of oocalc) freezes my X for 5-10
seconds. X server usage spikes to user entire 50% cpu (1 of 2 cores).
Nvidia, binary drivers. Amd64 Ubuntu 9.04
