Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

I did an upgrade from jaunty to karmic using "update-manager -d"
During the upgrade process I got one error about three times:
Could not install '/var/cache/apt/archives/memtest+_2.11-3ubuntu4_i386.deb'

At the end I got an error about update-apt-xapian-index, I had the ability to
"report a bug" but internet connection had been compromised and could not be
reastiblished. I tried to make an off line bug-report but the tool complained
that update-apt-xapian-index did not exist. The I got this update failed popup
followed by an update complete popup.
After reboot internet connection was back up and I manual install of memtest
did not fail.

Maybe this is important information: grub2 was allready installed on
jaunty.
