Your upgrade log shows that another process has the debconf database
locked. This is not a bug in portmap; it's reasonable for packages to
require access to the debconf database during installation.
Since this bug is now 6 months old, I'm sure we aren't going to be able
to determine now what was holding open the database, so I'm closing this
report as invalid. If you do have more information available, please
feel free to reopen the report.
