I'm attempting to compile this code on a machine with 4GB of ram. It
does compile on a non-ubuntu machine with 8GB of ram. I don't
understand why ld needs more than 4GB of ram to compile this. I reduced
the data segment size and it compiles now on the ubuntu machine with 4GB
of ram. I'm going to go ahead and mark this invalid as I think it is a
misunderstanding on my part and not a bug.
