well it's not the -k7 that did it, cuz it's still not fixed, so now i'm lost.. upgrading to the ati provided drivers did nothing, switching to the ubuntu provided drivers did nothing and switching to -k7 did nothing.. but for some reason everything works perfectly on dapper but not edgy.. the bottom like "inch" of video gets cut off on the second monitor in mplayer, totem, etc
