This was working fine for me for a while, but this behaviour has happened for the last two boots, since the updates on the 1st of October. I did
$ sudo start gdm start: Job is already running at this point Ctrl-Alt-F7 does nothing, but Ctrl-Alt-F1 thru F6 work fine $ sudo restart gdm gdm starts normally. I am on amd64, upgraded from jaunty and I use the ubuntu-boot ppa. A photo of the boot screen is attached ** Attachment added: "Photo of boot screen when it stopped" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/32938655/IMG_4725.resized.rotated.JPG -- GDM did not start automatic when the PC (IBM T42) boots. I have to restart it with "service gdm restart" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/440538 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
