I'm using dapper and just checked that all updates are installed. However, reportbug still seems to be the old one that sends mails to ubuntu-users - of course I didn't want to file a complete bugreport in order to check it really does. But as I understand you, you didn't want change the reportbug-program itself, but only the menuentry so reportbug doesn't get used anymore. (Reportbug's version: 3.18ubuntu1). The menuentry still points to the reportbug-script. I doublechecked with /usr/share/menu/reportbug. The content of /usr/share/menu/reportbug is: ----- ?package(reportbug):needs="text" section="Apps/System" \ title="reportbug" command="/usr/bin/reportbug --exit-prompt" \ hints="Bug reporting" ----- BTW: I'm using WindowMaker, so I have no idea if the menu was different in gnome, Kde, etc. BTW2: I never used reportbug from the menu before. I always called it from the commandline directly. So you should make an update that behaves well when you type "reportbug" on the commandline.
