Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

When saving a file (external link to a torrent file, for instance) directly on
a cifs mounted filesystem, the file gets corrupted.
This happens only with firefox, and no other program for what I've seen. This
does not happen when saving a web page, only links to files.

If the file is saved locally, then moved to the cifs filesystem, it does NOT
get corrupted (the md5sum is the same).
If the file is saved on the cifs mount point, md5 signature is different (in
case of a torrent file, it becomes unusable).
