The problem is that association via protocols (mms://, rtsp://...) is done to 
the binary application, not the kpart, in kde, even if the kpart is used in the 
player...
There is no known solution to that issue, since we don't want to ship with 
kmplayer as the standalone player.
The next version of kaffeine will include a fix for the konqueror crash, so 
hopefully, we'll ship it as the unique video player...
