Public bug reported:
Installing onto drive with an exising partition for /home(ext3), empty
ext3 partition ( intended fo /) and swap partition. I mark the latter
for formatting.
After answering all the graphhic install questions, the partion manager
appears and gets to 1% before dropping thru to a test screen with
comments about an IO error on fd0.
After this the process continues to login to "ubuntu" user, but then
complains that there are zero bytes left. The disk size is given as
1.3G.
The disk is an IDE and is thre slave in a 2 disk machine.
There are 2G RAM.
Not sure where the failure is , but I think it is the Partition Manager
as nothing appears to be on the disks after the above.
