I am also having this problem. It occurs when launching Evolution from
startup or when closing and reopening Evolution.
Reinstalling Evolution did not solve the problem. Reinstalling Ubuntu
(fresh install) did not solve the problem.
This does not seem to be related with the default keyring password
prompt...and it is present in there as well.
Password is set to remember. [edit] [preferences] [edit] {receiving
e-mail} (checked to remember) {sending e-mail} (checked to remember).
At times I can enter the password and it works...at other times I can
enter it and it pops up a secondary error message which I have seen no
mention of anywhere.
After entering password the following message is displayed;
Unable to connect to POP server pop.yourmailserver.net.
Error sending password: -ERR [IN-USE] account is locked by another session for
maintenance, try again.
Please enter the POP password for
[email protected] on host pop.yourmailserver.net
In this dialog box, you can enter your password. There is a check box
(Remember this password), which is checked then Cancel and OK.
Now, I substituted "yourmailserver" and "[email protected]" for
obvious reasons. It has my actual address and domain.
You can enter it all day long and it won't work.
I've tried resetting the password. I've checked and unchecked "remember
password" to no avail.
This only seemed to crop up with the latest release of Ubuntu in my case.
Any suggestions, work arounds or fixes yet? It's obvious that I'm not the only
one.
Thanks,
Phil
