I just tried the suspend function on my Thinkpad T500 with 9.10 beta1 Ubuntu karmic (development branch), live CD. It worked perfectly except one side effect: the wifi did not come up. I think the problem is with the network-manager 0.8~a~git.20090923t064445.b20cef2-0ubuntu2, because the "sudo /etc/init.d/network-manager restart" fixed it.
