I ran the test again on karmic-beta1 which I installed on my harddrive. Now something completely different happened! The machine did NOT suspend anymore! The screen went black for less than a sec and then got back, but scrambled. At the sixth test (Power consumption test during 20 minutes of suspend), the machine crashed, and I got a kernel panic, for which I filed a crash report. When filing the crash-report I pointed to this bug, 352601 (affects me too). So I hope the crash report can be tracked.
An earlier suspend/resume test with karmic-beta1, broke my compiz (which error I did not report). I'm not able to enable compiz anymore, so tonight I'll install a fresh karmic-beta1 again :+\ When booting from USB-stick, suspend still works. It just does nor resume automatically. I have to push the power-button to get it to resume. The testscript gives these results: Test 1: SUSPEND FAILED, did not go to sleep test 2 - 6: Suspend works; Resume works but not automatically I hope this helps. -- [MEDION E1210] suspend/resume failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/352601 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
