Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: upstart

After installing ubuntu 9.10, every time I try to boot up, I expect it to show
the loading screen and the start ubuntu. Instead I recieve the message:
"error: no such device: 095df667-a28d-424c-8ea8-c288c89aa421"
or
"error: no such device: d20bdd2ba-719d-4b64-b74f-1a52e72d8f86"
I then press "Ctrl+Alt+Delete" and a menu entitled "GNU Grub version
1.97~beta3" will apear.
I press e to edit the first option.
I then delete the line:
"search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set d20bdd2ba-719d-4b64-b74f-1a52e72d8f86"
I then press "Ctrl+X" and it boots up like it should.
I have to do this every time I reboot.
