This bug is also effecting my Compaq 6715b laptop running the Karmic beta. I have attached the output from lshw, lspci, and uname. The bug has the unfortunate side effect of disrupting the new usplash for Karmic, and that is probably my biggest concern! I found a post from Linus Torvalds on kernel.org thoroughly explaining the address collision bug, and that (in my interpretation) the fix won't be applied until after 2.6.31.
