Thanks Robbie, I've filed bugs against those two messages at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/444228 (softreset failed) and https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/444235 (pixx4_smbus conflicts with region)
