Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help to improve
Ubuntu.
It is not a bug in acpi-support if the package is configured but the
package manager tries to configure it again; this is either a bug in the
package manager, or an inconsistency in your dpkg database.
Several bugs in dpkg that fit this description have been fixed in recent
releases, so I think this bug can reasonably be considered closed. If
you are still having problems installing packages, please feel free to
reopen this report and provide more information.
