Hi Dan, On the kernel 2.6.28-14-generic, please run the following command:
dpkg -l linux-image-2.6.28-15 generic and paste the output. I would like to know if you are using the latest jaunty kernel which is - 2.6.28-15.52 If not, please update;upgrade again to the latest and see if the issue persist. If you are using the latest jaunty kernel and still not able to boot properly.
