I can confirm reinstalling totem fixes the problem. I simply ran sudo apt-get install --reinstall totem totem-common And moved the video files to another folder and they received their thumbnails. So we have a fix, but is it really a fix to the bug? The only way we can really tell is if someone reinstalls from scratch with the release candidate (or a daily snapshot I suppose.) That way we can see if it is fixed in the actual installer. Kory
