OK, so we have three separate bug reports i this one of three possibly
completely separate issues (the installer can crash for many reasons).
Of these, only one has useful logs (from jugg) and that syslog has
errors like:
ubuntu kernel: [17180685.000000] hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady
SeekComplete Error }
ubuntu kernel: [17180685.000000] hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError
BadCRC }
Which suggests a hardware error. Closing bug.
