Check to see if the time is correct after your initial logon.  If I
switch between Windows and Ubuntu, the time via the BIOS is reset by
each OS's synchronization app.  When I log onto Ubuntu, the time is
wrong but then it reaches the internet and resets the clock.  At this
point, the screensaver thinks that it needs to kick in.  I type my
password to turn off the screensaver, then unlock the keyring, then all
is good.
