Just to make sure, did you restart your session after the upgrades? There was a tricky upgrade yesterday which updated dk-p to 011 final and a gnome-power-manager rebuild against that. Can you please check with "dpkg -s packagename | grep Version:" that devicekit-power is version 011-1, and gnome-power-manager is 2.28.0-0ubuntu3 ? After that you need to restart your GNOME session.
