@dustin -- to summarise the current position the kernel does seem to
have changed behaviour, this may be deliberate. Our userspace differs
from that in RHEL where it does work with a similarly configured kernel.
ecryptfs is working ok with the mods, and the investigation continues
centering on the pam config. I'll assume you'll let us know if there is
a kernel issue here.
