the ppa at https://launchpad.net/~openoffice-pkgs/+archive/ppa or Ubuntu
Karmic?
The bug report you referenced was closed as WORKSFORME on OOo 3.1.1 not
the really old version (2.4) in Ubuntu 8.04.
