I'm not sure it's a duplicate of #444962 - Nautilus doesn't render all
files as text files (or any non-text files as text files for that
matter) and neither removing ~/.local/share/mime, running "update-mime-
database.real -V ~/.local/share/mime/", running "sudo update-mime-
database /usr/share/mime; sudo update-desktop-database" or running
Evince from a terminal (in all cases) fixes the problem.
