You shouldn't have to run hardware drivers as Atheros chipsets are
covered by the ath5k and ath9k drivers which are both FOSS and are in
the kernel tree.

Running apport-collect as Alexander suggested will give us some log
files to look at to help diagnose the problem.

Also, you might want to re-test with Karmic Beta as opposed to Alpha 6.
