Public bug reported:
This is a weird one:
I have a laptop running on Intel Duo Core P9500 w Nvidia 9500GT 4GB Ram. The
Computer is SAGER2096 (if anyone interested). Now the problem sometimes after I
login my mouse and keyboard will act strange:
-> Mouse can move but will not allow to click (cursor will be appear as an
I-beam)
-> Sometimes clicking will actually produce a random minimize/restore event on
the current window (even though the mouse moves correctly on the screen)
-> During that time they keyboard will lock some of the keys (these are the
Shift, the Esc, and I think arrow buttons as well), other keys work as normal.
There are no errors reported in any of the log files. The only thing I
can see is that the Xorg will unload the evdev module and all the
devices. The only way to solve it is to kill X and login again. However
sometimes that also backfires and after a while I end up with the same
situation.
Further note: a day or two before this started one of my touchpad
buttons died (Does not work on Ubuntu or Windows) If anyone knows how to
disable the those buttons I will try to see if the bug is reproducible.
** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-evdev (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
