Public bug reported:
When I open up an mp3 file, I've tried in MPlayer, VLC and RhythmBox,
before the sound starts playing a loud crackling hit the speakers, as if
the speakers are being turned on and off. This is easily replicated,
once the music is playing, it no longer cracks if I open up another mp3.
But once the mp3 stops, and I open another one it cracks again.
