Public bug reported:
this is probably a duplicate, but I've been encouraged to file a bug
with specific hardware information rather than 'me too' ing on another
bug.
Basically, clicking from speakers all the time, fix described in Bug
#381201 does work to fix it, at the expense of some battery life
apparently.
