The problem was trying to mount my mobile broadband modem as the cd, like it
should. It is the Alltel UM175 made by pantech. Even
with that error, I can still run USB-Modeswitch and it will go into modem mode,
but, If i have to unplug the modem, I have to restart the computer before it
will even attempt to recognize it again.
Here is the exact text of ther error:
Unable to mount CD-ROM Disc
Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 1: helper failed with:
mount: block device /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sr0,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
