Ups, you are right...the "fast" solution have to be:

  mv /usr/sbin/update-rc.d /usr/sbin/update-rc.d-ok
  echo "update-rc.d-ok cron defaults" >/usr/sbin/update-rc.d
  chmod 755 /usr/sbin/update-rc.d
  apt-get install cron
  mv /usr/sbin/update-rc.d-ok /usr/sbin/update-rc.d
