Ok one other place we can test is upstream. It is worth testing
v2.6.31.3 to confirm that the ubuntu delta is not to blame here, and
then v2.6.32-rc3 to see if it is already fixed upstream. Those kernels
can be found in the Mainline kernel archive at the url below:
