Public bug reported:
It starts before I even login into the system, I listen it from GDM too,
so it's a system related thing.
I'm runing Ubuntu 9.10 with latest package available today (09/10/2009
14:14 UTC+2).
I don't know who and why produces the click like sound, but it becomes
quite annoying so I should mute the system to stop hearing it.
>From old problems, it seems like the system tries to play something but
instead of playing a file, I only listen a 'click' sound (not the one
for the click event). Given that I don't listen the usual sound played
when GDM is ready to get input, I guess I'm getting that 'click'
instead.
>From the sound applet I'm able to reproduce the sound events, so it's
not just that my sound configuration is broken.
My laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad X61s with a fresh Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit
install.
