It's similar to 445303. I get past the password screen and it freezes when the progress meter appears. Then, the two windows freeze (the update manager + progress meter). From here on, I get various results because yesterday I updated through the terminal.
Prior to 2009-10-09, when updating through the terminal after a freeze, I received the following message: /var/lib/python-support/python2.6/dbus/connection.py:242: DeprecationWarning: object.__init__() takes no parameters super(Connection, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs) Another synaptic is running. Trying to bring it to the foreground Today, I was able to update through the terminal, even with the two frozen windows (There were no updates). The above message did not appear. After a freeze, when I retry through the System>Administration>Update Manager GUI, nothing happens. Everything else seems to function normally with the exception of the 2 frozen windows. -- Update Manager freezes and must reboot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445147 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
