I don't know if it's the same problem. I'm using karmic 32bits. When displaying "Computer" with Nautilus, "CD/DVD Drive" is mentionned. If I introduce a CD in the driver, the "CD/DVD Drive" disappear and the CD isn't mounted.
It's quite strange because if I go in Disk Utility, the disk is identified (for instance, its size is given), but it's consider as "Unrecognized". If I insert a Audio CD, it's perfectly recognized and it works fine with Rythmbox. The computer is an Acer Aspire M1201 (AMD), the driver is Optiarc DVD RW AD-7203S.
