I am also getting this problem with DVD+Rs. k3b brings up a dialog saying "Found media: DVD+R (empty). Please insert an empty or appendable DVD±R into drive _NEC DVD_RW ND-3550A (/dev/hdc)". I notice that both I Sputnik have NEC drives.
It works fine when I click "force", but that then mutes other errors such as a lack of disk space causing the last 10% of every disk I've written for weeks to be blank :( Occasionally it works fine without the erroneous dialogue box for no apparent reason. I've had the same stack of 100 DVD+Rs on the go for ages. I'm using normal Edgy (not Kubuntu), and k3b reports that I'm on K version 3.5.5. I've attached a capture of the dialogue box, in case that's useful. ** Attachment added: "captured image of erroneous dialogue box" http://librarian.launchpad.net/6438768/Screenshot-Waiting%20for%20Disk%20-%20K3b.png -- [KDE 3.5.6] k3b wants "+-DVDs" ... and rejects "+DVDs" https://launchpad.net/bugs/82323 -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
